Destin is located on Florida's Emerald Coast, where is
just three hours drive from Troy. Lots of Troy University students will choose
Destin beach to spend their holiday. The reason is not just that Destin is very
near to us. The most important reason is Destin has the most beautiful, soft
sands in the world, and its clear green water is also unforgettable.
Almost every month, I go to Destin
to enjoy the sun and the beach. I have to say it's kinda bored if you stay in a
small town like Troy.
The way from Troy to Destin is all winding path and less
traffic. Sometime some animals like dears may show up in the road at night,
which is extremely dangerous. You should pay more attention when you're driving
and follow your GPS carefully because it is very easy to miss the correct fork
in the road.
Fun activities at the beach include
five star beach hotels and resorts, water sports such as parachuting, surfing
among others.
Other activities will include visiting the marine park, adventure
parks, amusement parks, dolphin cruises which are extremely exciting to kids
and people of all ages, dinner cruises and plenty of performing artists and
concerts.
For travel tips carry light clothes
during summer which is the best season to visit the beach. Travelers must also
have a reliable taxi contact to ease travel in the city or hire one's own vehicle. It is also important
to carry a significant amount of cash as many places along the beach only
accept cash. This will be backed up by credit and debit cards (ensure they are
internationally accepted). It is also important to carry a form of registration
for identification and security purposes.
